Raid Rules.

Hey folks.

Ok, so, DS is gonna start raiding again, and here are the ground rules, there may be amendments listed below, as i either remember things, or maybe change things, so please keep rechecking this forum, and the addons forum as well.

So, the 1st general thing, is that there is a new rank in the guild, a raider rank, mostly, this is tehre to make it easier for us to issue invites with the in game calander system, as we can send to the entire raider rank, in 1 go, and start getting replies in straight away. So if you are a raider, with the rank, u need to be using the in game calanader, untill G gets one here as well. then u need to use both :P

We will be using a very similar system to what we have before, there is no 100% set team, but there will be several peopel who go all the time. In order to raid, you need to be considered to be geared for it, which basically means all blue or better, and you have put the work in normal and heroic instances, or with crafted gear. I know alot of the guild have allready done so.

Raiding priority will go initially to older members of the guild. but that does not exclude newer members either, please be patient with us. We would like everyone to see the raids, but we also need to clear it with experienced and geared people 1st.

Raid start times will be posted in the calander, please make sure you are on time. The finish time for any raid on sunday will be 11 pm. (might go a little over depending where we are, but no grudges held, as people do have work monday's)

If you are raiding with us, please make sure you bring all your relevant consumables, potions/elixir, food buffs, ebough reagents to keep buffing and rebuffing, and some gold for repairs! The 1st few weeks are going to be expensive, as there will be wipes, no raid teams can eat through without wipes, it just does not happen.

Should you wish for food buffs, my mage Gummy can make pretty much all of them, if there is a paticular stat you want from food, whisper me, and i can get the recipe, you just need to provide me with the meat/fish. Alternatively, the ah has a stock of pretty much all of them.

I also have an elixir master alchemist, at 450 skill, again, if you want anything, whisper me.

Once you are in the raid, please pay atention to how the boss guides are going, if you have useful tips or info, please pass them on, but be patient with us, as we will need to go over the bosses, and its so much easier if you are all on teamspeak (download it !!)

Loot Rules!

Loot priority is: Main Char - Main spec, Main Char Alt spec, Alt char Main spec and Alt char off spec.

We operate a lootmaster system, so any blues and epics will be handed out that way.

Generally, we do a 1 item per person till everyone has something, when everyone has something, you can roll on a 2nd item. The exeptions to that will be Quest items, or bag items. they are open to everyone who has not had one of those allready.

Sometimes, the way this game goes, 1 person may end up with several loots, it wont happen often, but the drops are also dependaont on class as well.

Now, here comes a little contraversial one, if it is your 1st raid with an established team, and something drops, the priority will go to the member who has raided the most. Several instances happend in BC raiding, where people would come in on their 1st raid, and get items that ppl who raided 30 times did not ever see. That works out unfair on the longer term raider. So be aware, later on, if its ur 1st raid, you are not gaurenteed loot.

Last thing i will say, these rules are subject to alterations, as we progress through raiding, the above are what we had last time, and worked pretty well.

The officers decisions are final.

Any questions, please ask an officer.

Thanks for reading all this, if you did, ask me for caek!

One thing I think needs adding to this is: Do Your Homework Full write ups of all boss encounters are now available on wowwiki and the foresight that these guides will bring will save many a wipe.
